Pachhunga University College became the only institution within Mizoram to be awarded the status of Mentor College under UGC PARAMARSH Scheme. Under the Scheme, five Higher Education Institutes of Mizoram became Mentee Institutes. The five Mentee Institutes are - RIPANS (Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences), HATIM (Higher and Technical Institute of Mizoram), Mizoram Hindi Training College, St. Xavier's College and Helen Lowry College. An MOU was signed with all five Mentee Institutes. All Mentee institutes appointed one Coordinator on their side for the scheme. The scheme carries a sum amount of Rs.30/- lakhs. Dr. Henry Lalmawizuala the IQAC Coordinator of the college was appointed as the Coordinator for the scheme. Under the Scheme, PUC as the Mentor College conducted Visitation Program, Special Lecture Program, National Level Sensitization Program on NAAC's Assessment and Accreditation Process, One Day Workshop on Documentation and also prepared Guidance Manual for the Mentee Institutes. Although several other plans were laid out to be implemented the Covid19 Pandemic hampered the progress of the scheme.
