As per the UGC (University Grants Commission) Regulations for the ‘Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions, 2018’ vide Gazette Notification No.: F. 1-18/2010(CPP-II); Dated: 6th August, 2018 (https://www.ugc.ac.in/pdfnews/7771545_academic-integrity-Regulation2018.pdf), Pachhunga University College has implemented and strictly monitor Research Papers, PhD Thesis, M.Phil./PG Dissertation etc. in order to prevent any form of misconduct on academic writings. 

 

To implement this regulation, Pachhunga University College has the access to Turnitin (https://www.turnitin.com/) and Urkund / Ouriginal (https://www.ouriginal.com/) to prevent Plagiarism. Faculties, Research Scholars, Students must generate Similarity Index Report for their academic writing before sending it for the publication/upload in public domain. The Similarity Index of such writing is restricted to ≤10% as per the UGC Norms.
