TWO DAYS TRAINING ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP
REPORT
Date: 7-8 December, 2021
Venue: Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell Lecture Hall, PUC
The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, PUC and Innovation Club, PUC jointly organized a two days training on entrepreneurship during 7-8 December, 2021. It was funded by MEDMOC, Planning and Implementation Dept., Govt. of Mizoram. The training program was held offline. 70 students registered through google form but about 20 students actually turned up for the training. The pandemic effect, the after-exam-holiday mood and the lack of awareness are responsible for the smaller number of trainees. But the participants showed to be serious and focused, and the program is believed to have immense impact on their lives.
On 7 December, 2021, the program started with registration of participants from 9.30 am. After an introductory session at 9:45 am, the first session was started. There were two sessions in the forenoon and two sessions in the afternoon. Mr. LTL Fela, CMD, Tharthilthlentu (TiLi); Founder, aDumAVar & Co-Founder, thiamna.com, was the Resource Person of the forenoon sessions. He talked about ‘Entrepreneurial Mindset’ and ‘Chengrang leh Ngenmu’- The Struggles’ in the first two sessions.
The after-lunch sessions were devoted to successful young entrepreneurs to share their experiences and struggles. Mr. Laldinliana, Director, HLDL Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. henry Saingura, Social Entrepreneur, Founder and CTO, Foods Myco Lab were the Resource Persons. They presented their success story and motivated the students for a startup. Ms. Vanlalhriatpuii co-founder of thiamna.com who accompanied Mr. LTL Fela also gave a short speech about her journey to the field from Mathematics background. The sessions were very interesting and the participants also enjoyed it.
The first day ended with report writing which the students submitted through google form.
The whole day of the second day, 8 December 2021, was devoted to Design Thinking class. Ms. Lalnunmawii Ralte, Asst. Professor, Govt. Aizawl College and Ms. K.C. Malsawmtluangi, Asst. Professor, Mizoram Christian College, Aizawl, both Master Trainers in EKC, MEDMOC, were the Resource Persons. They guided the trainees not only through theoretical presentation but through practical and divided them into groups and let them practice the process of ideation. The students enjoyed the session and gained practical knowledge about problem identification and problem solving. A review report was written and submitted in google forms again.
At 3:30 pm, a closing session was held where a brief report was given by the Convener, Dr. Rohmingmawii, and certificates were distributed to the participants. The students were invited to give feedback. Three students came forward and they all said that they were greatly benefitted by the training and were grateful for the opportunity.
After the conclusion of the training, an Entrepreneurship Knowledge Club was set up with the students who participated in the training. The leaders were appointed as under:

Bio-Innovation Challenge 2022: Mr. C. Lalruatsanga, CEO, MZU BioNEST
In the Roadshow for Bio-Innovation Challenge, 2022, sixth semester students from three departments, namely, Economics, Management, Biotechnology, and members of Entrepreneurship Knowledge Club, PUC participated.
Dr. Rohmingmawii delivered a welcome address and introduce the Resource persons from MZU. Dr. H. Lalhruaitluanga gave a detail introduction of MZU BioNEST, its facilities, scope and functions. Mr. C. Lalruatsanga introduced the BioNEST Innovation Challenge, 2022 and talked about the opportunities, criteria, and focus areas of the event. It was followed by question and answers. The students raised relevant questions not only on the Bio-Innovation challenge but also on issues relating to entrepreneurship and innovation and the opportunities in Innovation Centers.
The program ended with a photo session and a refreshment. It was a fruitful program.
WEBINAR ON INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY

The program was chaired by Dr. Lalmuanpuia Vanchhawng, Chairman, Innovation Club. Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Jamie Zodinsangi Hrahsel, Member, Innovation Club, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Rohmingmawii, Secretary, Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, PUC.
The Webinar on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology encompasses the vision of introducing innovative ideas into day-to-day activities falling under all the relevant areas of technology, engineering and social sciences (management & economics). The Webinar was aimed to create a platform that can motivate the participants to bring about some changes and innovation in the traditional methods of production, operations, marketing, etc. and to cultivate to students who are full of innovative ideas and entrepreneurship a desire to become future entrepreneurs. The lecture of the Resource Person truly delivered the desired goal. A Q&A round followed.
The Zoom room could hold a maximum of 300 participants, and the room was full almost throughout the talk. The participants came from various disciplines. It was a very interesting session, very motivating and challenging to the students as well as the teachers.
ROADSHOW FOR BUSINESS IDEA COMPETITION

A Roadshow for Business Idea Competition was organised by Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell PUC on 22nd April, 2022 at Seminar Hall, PUC. The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, PUC is planning to organize a Business Idea Competition in the month of June, 2022, for which a roadshow was organised. Pu Lalrinnunga, Project Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Planning & Implementation Department, Govt. of Mizoram was the Resource Person.
Pu Lalrinnunga, the Resource Person, presented on the theme, ‘Startup Pitch’. He began his discussion with the concept of entrepreneurship and gave an interesting presentation on the best practices for pitching business ideas and tips for presentation. He also showed some video clips about pitching ideas by prospective start-ups.
The presentation was followed by random grouping and on the spot competition on problem identification and finding solution. The participants were divided into five groups and leaders of each group presented their group’s discussion. Each group came up with interesting and realistic ideas.
The program was chaired by Dr. Rohmingmawii, Secretary, Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, PUC. Dr. Daniel Lalawmpuia, Member, EK Cell, PUC gave a vote of thanks. There were 62 participants in the program.
