The 65th Pachhunga University College Foundation Day- 2023
The year 2023, August 15 marked the 65th Foundation Day of the college. A function in observance of the college foundation day was held on 11:00 A.M., August 16 (Wednesday), at the Seminar Hall. The function was graced by Prof. Lalnundanga, Registrar, Mizoram University, as the Chief Guest. The principal, Prof. H. Lalthanzara gave a welcome speech highlighting the brief history and achievements of the college. Souvenir bags prepared for the occasion were released by the principal. The social media team of the college aired a video show known as ‘PUC over the years’. The college’s Music Club presented the College Anthem, ‘We will strive till we succeed.’ The Chief Guest, Prof. Lalnundanga gave a speech lauding the achievements of the college while emphasizing the vision and challenges ahead. As we have already achieved this much excellence, what will be the next step? He encouraged us to dedicate and commit ourselves more to achieving and acquiring many more heights and challenges. On this special occasion, to mark the college foundation day, the students and staff, teaching and non-teaching, of the college donated Rs. 2.4 Lakhs as a charity, which was given away to four selected homes in Aizawl:
1) Gan Sabra, Luangmual, Rs. 60,000/-
2) Muanna In, Mualpui, Rs. 60,000/-
3) Hermon Children’s Home, Rs. 60,000/-
4) Bethsaida Home, Rs. 60,000/-
Dr. Henry Lalmawizuala, HoD, English Department, conducted the distribution of charity. The former principal, Dr. Tawnenga was invited to make a short speech. He reiterated the importance of unity among the staff. He said that it’s because of our dedication and unity that we have achieved so much, and unity is our strength. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. H.S. Lalsangpuia, Vice-Principal, Pachhunga University College.
