Governor inaugurated celebration of NIRF 34th Ranking (College Category) and International Symposium
Pachhunga University College held a short function today on 8th June 2023 in celebration of the 34th NIRF Ranking-2023 (College Category) and inauguration of the international symposium on “Sustaining Nature and Tribal Worldview: An Eco-Critical Approach to Literature,” organised by the Department of English. His Excellency, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Governor of Mizoram was the Chief Guest of the event, with Prof Lalnundanga, Registrar, Mizoram University as the Guest of Honour.
The Principal Prof H. Lalthanzara welcomed the special invitees and participants to the event, thanking both former and current college principals, faculty, non-teaching staff and students for their collective effort that culminated in their achievement of their rank, which is the highest amongst all colleges in the North-East India. A report on the history, process and required criteria under NIRF ranking was presented by Dr. Lalhriatzuala, Associate Professor, Dept of Physics and Dr. Vanlalveni Pachuau, Secretary, organizing committee of the International Symposium presented a report on the symposium which has received 33 papers funded by Mizoram University.The Chief Guest, His Excellency, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati congratulated the college on their outstanding achievement, and also encouraged them to continue striving towards further progress in the future. The function, attended by faculty, non-teaching staff, invitees and students, totalling 140 in all, was concluded by a vote of thanks from Dr Henry Lalmawizuala, Head, Dept of English.
