The NSS Unit of Pachhunga University College came into existence in 1972 to be the first NSS unit to be established in MIzoram. From the date of its inception, volunteers and Programme Officers of this unit have been already rendering their voluntary services for the expansion of NSS activities in taking up various programmes. At present this unit has seven Programme Officers with the strength of seven units of seven hundred student’s volunteers. Fortunately, under the dynamic Principal, Dr Tawnenga, this Unit has its own NSS Office in the College. As per the NSS guidelines, various programmes have been taken up under Regular Activity and Special Camping Programmes.
This Unit has eight Adopted villages. Namely:

NSS ACTIVITIES DURING 2011-2012:
- On 11th April, 2011, Cleaning Day was organized to clean areas of Block – I,II & III buildings of the college. 80 students volunteers and two P.Os were participating in the programme.
- Special Camping Unit-VIII was held at Damveng , Aizawl during 11 – 16th April 2011 for construction of Park Benches for the use of the community along with campaigns for cleanliness, fire-prevention etc. for the locality of Damveng area.
- The college NSS Units participated in the ‘ Inter State Youth Exchange and Home Stay ’ Programme organized by RGNIYD and NSS Cell, Mizoram during 17th to 24th April 2011. The Student volunteers of P.U.College performed ‘ Cheraw Dance ’ and 19 student volunteers of Chhattisgarh were also experienced a Home Stay programme with the volunteers of the College during the said programme
- Special Camping Unit-VII was also held at Agape Institute Chawlhhmun, Aizawl during 18 -23rd April 2011 for construction of Urinal and Campaigns for Cleanliness and Fire-prevention etc. for the community of the Chawlhhmun, Aizawl.
- “Green Mizoram Day” was observed on 24th June 2011 by clearing and cleaning the Plantation site near A.R. Ground, Aizawl for the community of Mizoram. Two P.Os and 80 student volunteers were participating in the programme.
- Another Special Camping Unit-VI was organised at Durtlang North during 25-30th April 2011 for construction of Public Urinal and Campaigns for cleanliness and fire-prevention for the community of the said locality.
- Cleanliness programme was organized in the College campus on 12th May 2011 to clean Arts & Science Blocks buildings of the college. 70 student volunteers along with 4 P.O.s were participating in the programme.
- Cleanliness work was done along with construction of Public Urinal for the public at Mualveng, Durtlang on 15th July 2011 for the community of mualveng area. Around 50 student volunteers and one P.O. were participating in the programme.
- Renovation and Dressing as well as beautifying of Circular Flower Bed and the Jubilee Stone was undertaken on 23 July 2011. Two P.Os along with 70 student volunteers participated in the programme.
- Beautification work was continued under the leadership two P.Os on 19th August 2011. Eighty (80) student volunteers participated in the activity in two groups.
- Voluntary Blood Donation cum Motivation campaign was organized for Observation of Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2011 at the college campus. 425 units of blood was donated by 419 student volunteers and 6 teachers. Of which, 336 were males and 89 were females. The Medical team of Civil Hospital and Durtlang Hospital Blood Bank Cells attended the programme. About 1260 student volunteers/students, 6 P.Os and 20 Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the College were participating in the programme.
- Eye-Donation Campaign was also organized on the same day (5th Sept.2011) at the College Auditorium. The Medical team of 6 members of Durtlang Hospital attended the programme. One P.O. three Teachers and 340 student volunteers were participating in the programme and 34 students and teachers agreed to donate their eyes to the said Hospital.
- Beautification work was continued again on 16th & 17th September 2011. Two P.Os and 40 student volunteers were participating in the programme.
- NSS-Day was observed on 24th September 2011 for doing cleaning and clearing work in the Plantation area of A.R. Ground, Aizawl. Eighty (80) student volunteers and one P.O. were participating in the programme. This programme is also for the community of Mizoram.
- Cleanliness cum Beautification work was organized in the College Courtyard area on 7.10.2011. About 80 student volunteers along with 2 P.Os were participating in the programme.
- Social work for construction of wooden Benches was organized on 18.11.2011. Two P.Os and 70 student volunteers were participating in the programme.
- Communal Harmony cum cleanliness was organized at Special Home, Durtlang North under the leadership of Dr. Lalthankungi, P.O. on 23.11.2011. 24 student volunteers participated in the programme and two selected student volunteers delivered Communal Harmony Campaign speech among the inmates as well as local youth the locality. Cleaning work was also done inside and outside of the Home area of the locality of Durtlang North.
- Social work was again organized for construction of another wooden Bench on 3.12.2011. Two P.Os and 60 student volunteers were participating in the programme.
- The College NSS Units participated in the community Emergency work at ITI veng on 5.12.20.11 for helping people/victims of House-Burn/Fire Occurences under natural calamity case. Two P.Os and 20 student volunteers were participating in the programme.
- Special Camping Unit-I was organized at Saphal Kawn during 8 – 14th December 2011 for construction of Benches and campaign for Cleanliness, Disaster management and ‘ No Tobacco ’ etc. for the community of Saphal Kawn locality.
- Special Camping Unit-II was held at Hmunnghak during the same month for the construction of Benches and campaigns for Cleanliness, Disaster Management and ‘No Tobacco’ etc. for the community of camp site area.
- Another Special Camping Unit-III was organized at Sialhawk during 9-15th December 2011 for construction of waitingshed and campaigns for cleanliness, Disaster management and ‘No Tobacco’ etc. for the community of Sialhawk village.
- Unit-IV Special Camping was also organised at Riangtlei village in the month of December 2011 for construction of Benches and campaigns for cleanliness, Disaster Management and ‘No Tobacco’ etc. for the community of the said locality.
- Special Camping Unit-V was also held at Chiahpui in the month of December 2011 for construction of public Benches and Campaigns for cleanliness, Disaster Management and ‘No Tobacco’ etc. for the community of the said village.
- As per resolution of the joint committee of AVBD, MSACS and Valentine’s Day Mass Voluntary Blood Donation, the NSS Unit of Pachhunga University was requested to clean the spot for Donation camp, its premises and to do the needful. Hence, the College NSS Units of P.U.C. organized cleanliness programme to clean the camp site area on 13th February 2012. One P.O and 20 volunteers were participating in the programme.
- As requested by the AVBD, Mizoram, the NSS Units or P.U.C. participated in the Mass Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Civil Hospital doing some of the needful activities on that day. Besides, 5 student volunteers also donated their precious Blood on voluntary basis on that day. One P.O. and 30 student volunteers attended the programme on 14th Febuary 2012.
- The NSS Units of P.U.College organised cleanliness work to clean Public Urinals at the different places of Venghnuai, Aizawl on 24th March (Saturday). 40 Student volunteers and one P.O. participated in the programme. This programme is purely for the community of Venghnuai area of Aizawl city.
NSS ACTIVITIES DURING 2012-2013:
- Cleaning and clearing of the plantation site at AR Ground area of Aizawl was organized on 14.4 2012. Sixty student’s volunteers and one PO participated in the programme.
- One Special Camping programme was organized at Dam veng YMA Section III for helping the community in helping public fencing, Campaign for cleanliness, Blood Donation during the month of April.
- Social work like arranging tables, desks and benches was done by 40 volunteers and 4 POs and besides cleaning of rooms and others at block II top floor, block III floor and the College Auditorium was done on 4 May 2012.
- Clearing work under plantation site and up keeping programme was organized in the college Campus of southeast area near ITI Veng boundary. Forty volunteers along with two POs were participated in the programme on 5.5.2012.
- Special Camping programme of Unit VIII was organized at Agape Institute Chawlhhmun, Aizawl during 7-13th May 2012 for helping the community in construction of public park benches, Campaign for AIDS, Blood Donation, No tobacco, Voluntary blood donation etc.
- Another Special Camping programme was organized at Dam veng during 14th – 20 May for helping the community in helping in renovation of public road fencing, Construction of public park benches, children vaccination, Blood Donation etc.
- As per the request of the Green Mizoram Committee, Our college unit participates in the Green Mizoram day programme on 14 June 2012 at Secretariat Complex, Khatla. Two POs and 100 volunteers participated in the programme and planted 100 saplings in the secretariat complex area.
- Clearing work under plantation site at Civil Secretariat Complex was organized on 28.7.2012. Thirty volunteers along with one PO were participated in the programme.
- Cleanliness drive was organized for observation of Our College foundation day on 14 August 2012 to clean Block – I and II buildings and their areas. The student volunteers of III Yrs BA and I Sem students of Geography, physics; History, Psychology, Education, Geology and Mizo Department along with 8 POs were participating in the programme.
- Clearing the surrounding areas of PU College football Playground was organized on 25.8. 2012. Two hundred volunteers along with 2 POs were participating in the programme.
- Cleanliness Programme was organized in the college to clean Block III and Administrative buildings and their surrounding areas on 22.9. 2012. Two hundred student’s volunteers of III BA Hon and I Sem students of Geography, physics; History, Psychology, Education, Geology and Mizo Department along with 8 POs were participating in the programme.
- Clearing work under plantation site at Civil Secretariat Complex was organized on 28.9.2012. Thirty volunteers along with one PO were participated in the programme.
- Clearing the circular flower bed inside the campus was organized on 6.10. 2012. Surrounding areas of PU College football Playground was organized on 25.8. 2012. Eighty volunteers along with 2 POs were participating in the programme.
- Cleanliness Programme was organized in the college for cleaning Science building, Teacher’s common room on 12.10.2012. Two hundred students along with 8 POs were participating in the programme. The programme includes cleaning of inside and outside buildings and their surrounding areas along with the approach roads of the building.
- One day Mass voluntary Blood Donation was organized in the College on 16. 11.2012. 320 student’s volunteers and all the POs participated in the programme. 140 units of bloods were donated and I which 107 and 33 were male and female respectively. Blood bank team from Civil Hospital collected the blood for the needy patient.
- Cleaning the circular flower bed with jubilee stone inside the campus was organized on 17.11. 2012. Eighty students with two POs were participated in the programme.
- Cleanliness Programme was organized in the college to clean Life Science Building Auditorium building along with the surrounding areas of the building on 30.11. 2012. Two hundred ten student’s volunteers along with 8 POs were participating in the programme.
- One day cleanliness programme was organized in the college campus for cleaning the open square area, basket ball court to main gate of the college with Block I building area on 7.12.2012. Two hundred student’s volunteers along with 6 POs were participating in the programme.
- Five Special Camping programme was held at five different places during the month of December 2012 such as Phulpui, Thanghmun, Phulchhuk, Zuruam, and Luangpawl. The project under taken were construction of public park benches, waiting shed, urinal, clearing and cleaning of Public cemetery, village water point, internal roads, Village hall, campaign for cleanliness, no tobacco, fire prevention.
NSS ACTIVITIES DURING 2013-2014:
- For commemoration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the College NSS Unit organized cleanliness work on 19th January 2013 in the surrounding areas of Block – II and III Buildings of the college campus. In this programme, 120 volunteers and two POs were participated.
- On 23rd March 2013, beautification work was organized for collecting manure, flower seedlings of different varieties and making of polypot etc for circular flower bed of the college. Two POs and 30 volunteers were participated in the programme.
- Two Special Programme were organized at Tlangnuam veng during 23-28th and 24-29th April 2013 respectively. The project undertaken were- construction of Uninal, clearing of Public cemetery, campaigns for HIV/AIDS, No tobacco, cleanliness and fire prevention etc.
- : On 17 May 2013, Cleanliness programme was organized on the last day of semester exam at the NSS Office and its premises. In this programme 30 volunteers were actively involved.
- Twenty students and one PO were participated in Green Mizoram day which was organized by Green Mizoram Committee on 11 June 2013 at ICFAI University Campus Durtlang. The total number of saplings planted was 70.
- Cleanliness work was organized at Durtlang North (ICFAI Road) on 28 June 2013. Two POs and 27 student Volunteers along with 3 teachers of Education Department, Pachhunga University College also involved in the programme for cleaning public road, Durtlang North as well as group interaction amongst the different students and teachers.
- On 5th July 2013, Social work cum cleanliness programme was organized at the College playground and its premises. In this programme around 50 volunteers with two PO’s were actively involved.
- During this month two times Voluntary Blood Donation was organized. The first one was on 5th August 2013 at Civil Hospital Blood Bank. Due to lack of Blood store in Civil Hospital Blood Bank, Civil Hospital Blood Bank Officer has requested the NSS Unit of this institution to donate blood for the needy patients. In response to their request, the NSS Unit of this institution donated 20 units of blood, 18 male and two female. In this programme 50 volunteers participated.
- Then after one week, as it was done in the other year, Mass Voluntary Blood Donation Programme was organized in the College Campus on 14th August 2013 and it was inaugurated by honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof R Lalthantluanga Mizoram University. During the donation, entertainment programme was also conducted at the College platform to entertain and enlightened the donors and singers from outside and the NSS volunteers of this institution performed special number. Total number of donation was as follows- for Civil Hospital Blood Bank 145 male and 25 female total 170 units. For Presbyterian Hospital Blood Bank- 94 male and 28 female and total was 122 units. Total number of donation was 292 units. In this programme, all the Programme Officers of this unit were actively participated.
- On 16th August 2013, Social work cum Cleanliness and Cleaning and clearing of the Office of NSS Unit, programme was organized at the college campus. All the volunteers of these units and seven Programme Officers were actively involved. In this programme, around 1000 volunteers were actively involved with two Programme Officers. On the same day, social work programme was also organized at the adopted village of Phulpui. One PO with 40 volunteers went to the village to do widening of internal road.
- On 30th September 2013 Social work cum Cleanliness programme was organized at the college campus for celebration of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 1st October, which is going to be held at our institution. Around 70 volunteers of this unit and three Programme Officers were actively involved.
- On 3rd October 2013, Cleanliness programme was held at the College to clean the NSS garden or circular garden in the College. Around 30 volunteers and One PO participated in the programme.
- On 10th November 2013, Cleanliness programme was held at the College to clean Block III areas of the College. Around 40 student volunteers and one PO were participated in the programme.
NSS ACTIVITIES DURING 2014-2015:
- As per requested by organizing Committee of NE NSS Youth Festival 2014, 30 volunteers of this unit had performed Mizo Cultural mix dance in the inaugural ceremony of NE NSS Youth Festival 2014 held on 3rd - 7th February 2014.
- On 1st March NSS Unit of this institution had cleanliness cum renovation and making of park benches at Bethani Children’s Home, Sihhmui. In this programm 40 NSS volunteers of this Unit (25 male and 15 female) were participated.
- From 31st March- 1st April 2014, thirty (30) NSS volunteers One PO participated in the programme NE India 15 days drama workshop cum seminar on performing arts of Mizo held at CYMA Hall, Tuikhuahtlang which is organized by Sangeet Akademi, New Delhi and Mizo Academy of Letters Aizawl. In this programme, NSS Volunteers of this institution performed some traditional Mizo dance.
- On 17th April 2014, Cleanliness Programme was organized in the college campus and in this programme, 30 male volunteers and 21 female volunteers were actively participated.
- On 29th May 2014, the NSS unit of this institution has participated in the programme of Tree plantation at Thiak village, World bank road and in this programme 20 male and 15 female volunteers and one Programme Officer has actively participated and 60 fruit bearing trees and 20 evergreen trees also planted.
- On 11 June 2014 7: Am, Green Mizoram day programme was organized at Vety College Selesih. In this programme, 15 male and 5 female volunteers with one PO .100 saplings were planted.
- On 4th July 2014, Cleanliness programme was held at the College campus especially near NSS Park and its surrounding areas. In this programme 200 male and 100 female volunteers have participated.
- On 9th July 2014, programme on clearing of plantation site at ICFAI University Campus was organized and in this programme 25 male and 5 female volunteers with One PO were actively participated.
- On 8th August 2014, Cleanliness programme was held at the College campus especially near NSS Park and its surrounding areas. In this programme 120 male and 80 female volunteers have participated.
- On 16th August 2014, programme on clearing of plantation site was organized at World Bank road near Thiak village and in this programme 25 male and 5 female volunteers with one PO participated. In this programme dead plantation were also replaced.
- Social work Programme on Cleaning and renovation of park benches at Abandant Life Home, Durtlang was organized on 8th September 2014. In this programme 20 male and 15 female volunteers with one PO participated.
- On 24th September 2014, As an observation of NSS Day programme on clearing of plantation site and fencing was organized at World Bank road near Thiak village and in this programme 25 male and 15 female volunteers with one PO participated. In this programme unsurvive plantation were also replaced. On 26th September 2014 NE Writers Meets 2014 was held at Aijal Club, Aizawl which was organized by Mizo Academy of Letters and Department of Art and Culture, Government of Mizoram and sponsored by NEZCC, Dimapur, Nagaland. In this programme Ten (10) volunteers of this institution have actively participated as reception and ushering. One PO Dr Zoramdinthara also attended and proposed vote of thanks in the inaugural function.
- On 10th October 2014, Voluntary Blood Donation was held at the College in collaboration with Civil Hospital Blood Bank and in this donation camp, 104 units of blood have been collected and out of which 68 and 36 are male and female respectively. In this programme all the PO’s have participated. On 15th October 2014, Observance of Global Hand washing day cum Cleanliness Drive (Swachh Bharat) was organized by NSS (Cell), Mizoram. In this programme, 40 Volunteers with one PO have participated from this Unit.
- On 27th October 2014, Cleanliness Drive was organized and in this programme all PO’s and 300 male and 200 female volunteers have actively participated.
- On 28th November 2014, cleanliness programme was organized at the college and in this programme, 30 male and 20 female volunteers have participated.
2017-2018 Annual Reports
Regular Activities:
15th April -15th May 2017:
- On 3rd April 2017, Swasth Bharat Trust In collaboration with NSS Unit Pachhunga University College organised Swasth Bharat Campaign at the Seminar Hall of Pachhung University College. This Programme was attended by all Programme Officers of this institution, 60 selected Volunteers and 5 official of the Swasth Bharat Trust.
- On 31st March Dr. Zoramdinthara attended a Conference on restructuring of NSS at Delhi. From 4th -8th April 2017, three PO of this Unit namely, Dr Lalthakima, Zothanmawia and MS Dawngliana successfully attended TOT at Mizoram University which was organised by NSS Cell, Mizoram University.
- On 21st April 2017, Lecture on Importance of Health and Sanitation Programme was conducted at the College. Dr. Zoramdinthara delivered a speech stressing the importance of health and sanitation. As Health and sanitation was one important Flagship Programme of Government of India, the NSS Units of this institution had taken initiative in spreading the importance of health and sanitation in our lives. In this Programme, selected 150 male volunteers and 70 female volunteers who were basically trained to motivate others were also very active in their participation.
- On 28th April 2017, Mass Cleanliness Campaign was organised at the College Campus 350 male volunteers and 240 female volunteers with all the nine Programme Officers of this units were actively involved in the programme.
15th May 2018- 15th June 2018:
- On 3rd June 2017, clearing of NSS Park at the campus was conducted. In this programme selected 14 male Volunteers actively participated.
- As per the request made by Green Mizoram Committee and Save Chite River, on 9th June 2017 the NSS Unit of this institution visited Chite River and organize cleanliness campaign on site by cleaning polythene, garbage bag and other polluting materials that could be harmful to the river. This programme was witnessed by three Programme Officers of these Units.
- On the occasion of World Environment day 5th June 2017, this institution created an Orchid Garden at the NSS Garden at Pachhunga University College. The Garden was inaugurated by Chief Secretary Pu Lalmalsawma, IAS. This programme was participated by all the PO and 50 volunteers.
- On 12th June 2017, clearing and planting saplings was conducted at the NSS Plantation site, World bank road. In this Programme, 21 male and 15 female volunteers along with Dr. Zoramdinthara participated. 30 saplings were planted.
- On the occasion of World Blood Donors day 14th June 2017, the NSS Unit of Pachhunga University College was awarded the 2nd Prize Voluntary Blood Donation Award 2016 among Institution by MSACS and AVBD, Mizoram for their performance in voluntary blood donation.
15th June to 15th July 2017:
- On 27th June 2017, Shri Vijay Goel, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport visited Mizoram and as per the request made by SNO, 15 Volunteers with Dr.Zoramdinthara PO participated in the interaction programme with Shri Vijay Goel at Aijal Club.
- On 30th June 2017, 20 male volunteers and 14th Female volunteers with PO Dr.Zoramdinthara participated in the Cleanliness Programme held at New Market which was conducted by NSS Cell, Mizoram.
- Campaign on Career Guidance Programme was successfully conducted at the Seminar Hall of this college. In this programme Dr Zoramdinthara delivered a speech on the importance of choosing the career and this Programme was attended by 220 volunteers.
- On 8th July 2017, Dr.Zoramdinthara PO attended a Workshop with NSS Staff from Assam and North East organize by UNICEF and the Department of Communication and Journalism at Guwahati.
- On 14th July mass cleanliness Programme was conducted at the College and its Surrounding areas. This programme was attended by 650 male volunteers and 440 female volunteers with all Programme Officers.
15th July to 15th August 2017:
- Zoramdinthara PO delivered a special lecture on the importance and benefits of Blood donation on 24 July 2017 at the Government Aizawl College.
- During 1-9th July 2017, Peer Educator training was organize at Chanmari YMA Hall and in this programme Dr. Zoramdinthara PO delivered and presented a paper on the “Importance and benefit of Blood donation”.
- On 14th July 2017, Launching of Heroes campaign was held at the College Seminar Hall. Pu Lalthanzara, Health and Family Welfare Minister was the Chief Guest. Dr. Zoramdinthara PO also delivered a speech on the importance and benefits of blood donation. This programme was attended by 160 Volunteers.
- On 3rd August 2017, 5 Ministera of 20 female and 30 male volunteers participateda one day Heroes campaign for Peer Educator training which was organsied by AVBD, MSACS and CZ Foundation, Aizawl at Chanmari YMA Hall.
- On 14th August 2017, Observance of Swachhta Pakhawada programme was organize at the college campus. This Programme was attended by 300 Volunteers with Dr R. Ramthara and Dr.Zoramdinthara, PO.
- On 14th August 2017 on the celebration of India Independence, Cleanliness programme was successfully organize at the College. This Programme was participated by 300 male and 250 female volunteers with all Programme Officers.
- In view of Mass Voluntary Blood Donation Camp to be held on 26th Augsut 2017, On 25th August 2017, awareness Campaign on Voluntary Blood donation was conducted in different classes of the institution. All the Programme Officers with 1600 volunteers participated in this programme.
- On 26th August 2017, mass Blood donation Camp was organize at the College. Blood bank staff from Civil Hospital visited our institution and collected valuable blood of our volunteers. In this programme, 195 male and 100 female total 295 units of blood was collected. All Programme Officers participated and assisted blood blank staff.
- On 8th September 2017, cleaning and clearing of Plantation site at the campus was conduct. In this Programme, 90 volunteers with POs Esther Laltlankimi, Vanlalveni Pachuau, Dr. Jamie Zodinsangi and Malsawmdawngliana also attended this programme.
15th September to 15thOctober 2017:
- On 15th September 2017, Sensitization Programme on HIV/AIDS and Importance of Voluntary Blood Donation Programme was organize at the College. In this Programme, selected volunteers delivered lectures among the student and all the Volunteers were actively involved.
- Zoramdinthara PO attended Consultation Meeting with Mizoram Journalist Association on 23rd September at Hotel Sangchia, Aizawl.
- Zoramdinthara PO also delivered a lecture on the Benefits of voluntary blood donation on 26thSeptember 2017at Kolasib.
- On 22th September 2017, 70 Volunteers with One PO, Dr. Zoramdinthara participated at the Observance of NSS Day organize by the State NSS Cell at Aizawl streets.
- On 15th September 2017, Awareness Campaign on HIV/AIDS programme was organize at the College and in this programme; Dr. Zoramdinthara delivered a speech on the prevalence and prevention of HIV/AIDS in Mizoram. 400-volunteers attended this programme.
- On 30th September 2017, 30 NSS Volunteers with two PO, Mr. Zothanmawia and Malsawmdawngliana participated in the Programme Save Chite River organize by Save Chite River Committee.
- On 6th September, cleanliness Programme was organize at the College and all the Programme Officers with 520 volunteers actively participated in this programme.
15th October to 15th November 2017:
- As invited by Federation of All India Blood donation Association, on 10-12 November 2017, Dr. Zoramdinthara PO attended and presented a paper at BLODCON 2017 held at the Lovely Professional University, Punjab.
- During 6-7th November 2017, 8 volunteers 4 male and 4 female attended the Cultural festival at Kolkata organize by Sahitya Academy Regional Centre, Kolkata.
- On 28th October 2017, fencing and clearing of Plantation site at College campus was conduct. 70 volunteers, Dr. Lalthakima, Esther Laltlankimi, Dr, Jamie Zodinsangi Hrahsel and Vanlalveni Pachuau also attended the programme.
15th November to 15th December 2017:
- On 2nd December 2017, Dr. Zoramdinthara PO has delivered a special lecture on the Importance and Benefits of Blood Donation at the Horticulture College, Selesih.
- On 14th December 2017, Winter Concert Cum Environmental awareness campaign was organsied at Lungleng Village of Adopted Village. The Programme was chaired and convened by Dr.Zoramdinthara, PO NSS. In this programme Pu Vanlalruata, President Central YMA was the Chief Guest and he also emphasized the need for hard work and preservation of culture. Dr. Lalthanzara, Asst. Professor, Pachhunga University College also delivered a speech on the Importance of Preserving Wildlife. Our NSS Volunteers also performed a number of beautiful songs at the programme. Our volunteers also performed cultural dance as well. Around 30 Volunteers and 300 people from adopted village participated the programme.
15thDecember 2017 to 15th January 2018:
- On 16thDecember 2017, Inaugural function of Tuirial hydel Project was held at Lammual, Aizawl and in this programme, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi was chief guest in this programme. This Programme was also attended by 15 volunteers with Dr. Zoramdinthara.
- On 9th January 2018, Dr. Zoramdinthara PO delivered a special lecture on the Importance and Benefit of Blood Donation in the Programme Reproductive Child Health at Community Health Centre, Hnahlan, Champhai District.
- On 12th January 2018, Dr. Zoramdinthara attended a meeting of Voluntary blood donation at Civil Hospital, Aizawl.
15th January to 15th February 2018:
- On 8th February 2018, cleanliness programme was organize at the College and was attended by 100 male and 40 female volunteers.
- Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign was held at the College on 7th February 2018. Dr.Zoramdinthara delivered a speech on the Importance of Voluntary Blood Donation. Around 1000 volunteers were actively participated the programme.
- Voluntary Blood donation camp was successfully organize at the College and in this programme, 166 male and 112 female volunteers donated their blood. This programme was actively participated by all the Programme Officers.
- From 8-12 February 2018, 8 volunteers including Dr. Zoramdinthara successfully participated and performed the Mizo traditional dance at National Mime festival at Imphal.
15th February to 15th March 2018:
- On 16th February 2018, Cleanliness Programme was organize at the College Campus. This programme was participated by 300 male and 190 female with all Programme Officers.
- On 6th March Life Skills training Programme was organize at the College and in this programme Dr. Zoramdinthara PO delivered lecture on Different Topics of Life Skill. This programme was attended by around 230 male and 100 female.
- On 8th March 2018, Library week was observed at the College and in this Programme, 60 volunteers of this unit participated throughout the day.
- On 10th March 2018, 30 male and 19 female volunteers have social work at our College playground.
- On 16th march 2018, Moral Development cum Life Skills Programme was organize at the College Campus. This programme was participated by 700 male and 590 female with all Programme Officers and Dr. Zoramdinthara PO delivered a lecture on Different topics of Life Skill.
- On 20th March 2018, National Level Programme on Run and Ride Campaign against Cancer Programme was held at our Institution. The programme hosted by NSS Unit Pachhunga University College was jointly organize by NSS Unit, Pachhunga University College, Rotary Club Aizawl, National Health Mission, Mizoram and Tata Trusts, Mumbai. The Flag off programme was conducted at 6:30 am from Vana Pa Hall and Ride and run is flagged off by Honorable Health Minister Pu Lalthanzara. Closing Programme was chaired by Dr. Zoramdinthara, PO and Coordinator of the Programme. Dr. Ravi Kannan, Director, Cachar Cancer Hospital delivered a lecture on Cancer and its Prevention. Dr. Eric Zomawia, Nodal Officer, NCD, Mizoram also delivered a lecture highlighting the Status of Cancer in Mizoram. 23 Sect Assam Rifles DIG Colonel Pratygush Gaur also felicitated Dr. Ravi Kannan for his outstanding Contribution in the field of Fighting cancer. This programme was participated by 250 volunteers from this unit, all Programme Officers, 100 Assam Rifles, Medical doctors and different young energetic from Aizawl city.
- On 27th March 2018, 300 male and 200 female volunteers have social work at our College campus.
- On 15-17th March 2018, National Seminar on Multi Lingual Poets Meet programme was held at Government Hrangbana College and Dr. Zoramdinthara and one Volunteer - Vanlalhlimpuii participated this programme.
Special Camping:
Special Camping programme was conducte at Lungleng and Damveng during 19th – 25th June 2017.
