A Two-Day Online Seminar On Career Guidance and Job Opportunities in Statistics

The Department of Statistics at Pachhunga University College Campus, Mizoram University, will host a two-day online seminar on 26th–27th August 2025, titled "Career Guidance and Job Opportunities in Statistics," designed to inform BSc and MSc Statistics students about career pathways in the private sector, government, and research. Featuring insights from industry experts like Ms. Manisha Dawar (Jaypee Business School), Dr. Dharam Raj (ICMR-NIREH), and Mr. Mrinnoy Pratim Bharadwaj (Axiria-Ingenious Insights), the seminar will cover topics such as career prospects, internships, and the role of statisticians in society. Conducted in a blended format (on-campus via smart board and online via Google Meet), the fully government-funded event aims to enhance students' awareness of job opportunities and align academic training with industry needs, targeting statistics students and interested participants.
