NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO 1st SEMESTER
Candidates seeking admission to 1st Semester Undergraduate courses (BA, B.Sc. B.Com. and BBA for the academic session 2026-2027 in Pachhunga University College may consider the following processes.
I. Online Registration (Mandatory)
a) Online application for admission will be conducted through the official admission portal of Pachhunga University College: https://admission.pucollege.edu.in
b) Opening of Online Application Portal: 18th March – 15th April 2026
c) Applicants must ensure that the information provided in the online form is correct. Any incorrect or misleading information may lead to the cancellation of admission.
d) The application must be submitted through the online system only.
e) The online registration fee will be Rs. 100/- for all, PUCET fee Rs. 200/-.
II. Official Communication Channel
a) An Official WhatsApp Channel for PUC Admissions 2026 has been created to disseminate admission-related information: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbBi3Oz3gvWaS1WYWP1S
b) All applicants must join the Official WhatsApp Channel to receive important announcements, instructions, and updates regarding the admission process.
c) All admission-related information will be communicated through the official website and the Official WhatsApp Channel only.
d) Applicants must follow the instructions below while filling the application form:
i) Use your own personal Phone Number only.
ii) Use your own personal Email ID only.
iii) Phone No. & email ID shall be used for further University Examination purposes; therefore, it shouldn’t be changed or shared with friends.
iv) All information will be communicated through the Official WhatsApp Channel.
v) All applicants must join the Official WhatsApp Channel.
III. ADMISSION TO BA, B.COM. AND BBA PROGRAMMES:
Candidates seeking admission to the 1st Semester BA, B.Com. and BBA for the academic session 2026 may apply through either of the following processes:
1. CUET (UG) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTS), New Delhi, scheduled to be held from 11 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
2. Pachhunga University College Entrance Test (PUCET) 2026: PUCET 2026 for admission into Arts, Commerce and Management (BBA) streams is scheduled as follows.
Date of test : Dt. 29 – 30 April 2026
Mode of test : Offline and OMR-based
Syllabus : Based on MBSE Class XI & Class XII syllabus
Question : MCQ (English, Mizo & Philosophy will have short answer questions)
Further details, including examination schedule, subject codes, venue, and instructions to candidates, will be provided later.
IV. ADMISSION TO BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (B.Sc.):
Admission to 1st Semester B.Sc. programs will be based purely on merit, calculated from academic performance in the qualifying examination. However, all interested candidates must fill up the online application form within the prescribed period.
The College will offer direct first-come, first-served admission into selected Science departments viz., Environmental Science, Geology and Statistics. Students securing 55% and above in HSSLC are eligible to apply after the declaration of the HSSLC results.
V. Interview Option for Science Applicants Seeking Stream Change: A special option will be provided in the online application form for students from the Science stream who wish to change their stream. Such applicants may click the “Click this for Interview” option in the application portal if they wish to request a stream change from:
Science → Arts; Science → Commerce, and Science → Management (BBA)
Applicants selecting this option may be required to appear for an interview or screening process.
VI. Merit Admission: Merit admission may be offered to -
1) Top-10 rank holders in the HSSLC examination
2) Subject toppers seeking admission in their respective subjects
3) First to third rank holders in the board examination will be given fee exemption. However, free admission does not include University registration fees and CAF amounting to Rs. 1,260/-.
VII. Sponsored Seats
a) Each department may offer two sponsored seats.
b) Applicants for sponsored seats must have secured not less than 65% in HSSLC.
c) Sponsored seat admission will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
d) The fee for sponsored seats will be 3.5 times (for BBA) and 4.5 times the regular admission fee for all others.
e) Interested candidates may submit their application to the Principal’s Office.
VIII. Quota Admission: Admission under special quotas, such as (i) Special Categories (SC/OBC/EWS/PwD, etc.) (ii) Sports Quota and (iii) Children of Employees, will be conducted from among the registered applicants in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations of the Government of India, UGC, the University, and the College.
Helpdesk for admission: The College will provide a helpdesk service for those requiring assistance from the next day of the MBSE-HSSLC result declaration.
