FRESHERS' SOCIAL AND FELICITATION FUNCTION 2018 HELD AT PUC

Pachhunga University College Freshers' Social and Felicitation Function 2018 was successfully held at College Multipurpose Auditorium on July 13, 2018 (Friday). The programme was opened with cultural dance performed by Chhawkhlei Cultural Dance, PUC. Dr. Tawnenga, Principal delivered welcome address to the audience. Dr. Margaret Z.Khiangte, HoD, Department of Economics, PUC delivered a speech on behalf of teachers.

At the function Ms.Rochansangi, V Sem B.Sc (Maths) gave a very insightful speech on behalf of senior students. A speech on behalf of freshers was delivered by Ms. Lalpianpuii, I Sem B.A (Pol Sc.). Mr. Lalthammawia, Vice President also delivered welcome speech to the freshers.

Felicitation of Top 10 rank holders in the last MZU Under Graduate examination was also held in this function. In the last Mizoram University UG exam the college have 16 toppers and 125 top 10 rank holders in arts, science and commerce streams. Besides this felicitation, Pachhunga University College Proficiency Awards were given to the following successful students:

H.K.Bawichhuaka Award (highest mark in arts) - Mr. Lalbiakenga, Department of History

Khawtinkhuma Award (highest mark in commerce) - Ms. Lalhmingsangi, Department of Commerce

Lenrual Hlui Award (highest mark in Science) - Ms.Malsawmthanga, Department of Botany.

Further, IIMK PG04 Batch Award for promising students also given to the following two students:

1. Ms. Lalhlimpuii, V Sem B.A, Department of Geography

2. Mr. J. Lalrohnuna, V Sem, B.Sc, Department of Mathematics.

Dr. Tawnenga, Principal released College Annual Magazine 'Buannel" (2017-18) in this function. Declaration of Student of the Year (2017-18) was also held. 

Ms. Lalduhsaki, V Sem B.A (Mizo, Ms. Melody Lalzirliani, V Sem B.Sc (Geology), Ms. Lalrinhlui Tlumang, III Sem B.A (Mizo) and Ms. H.Vanlalhlimpuii (Hlimhlimi) entertained the gathering with lively performances.

The function was ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. H.S Thapa, HoD, Department of Botany. Dr.Denghmingliani Zadeng and Mrs. Esther Laltlankimi compered the entire programme with delightful zeal.
