The Department was established in 2018. For introducing this Department, initiatives have been taken by the Department of Zoology, Pachhunga University College.

The Departments is take cared by coordinating the following three departments:
·         Department of Zoology – 7 Faculties
·         Department of Botany – 5 Faculties
·         Department of Biotechnology – 5 Faculties
·         1 Laboratory Assistant has been assigned to this department

Student intake – 10 or 15.

2 batches comprising a total of 19 students have completed M.Sc. (Life Sciences) course under this department.

There are 2 classrooms equipped with digital screen.

General Laboratory is allotted for PG students.

MSc students utilized Advance Level Biotech Hub & Research Center

There is also a Specific Library consisting of 80 books for PG students
