The Department was established in 2018. The introduction of the department was initiated by the Department of Zoology, and presently, the PG department with 2 regular faculty is supported by the following three U.G. departments:

·         Department of Zoology – 7 Faculties
·         Department of Botany – 5 Faculties
·         Department of Biotechnology – 5 Faculties
·         1 Laboratory Assistant has been assigned to this department

Student intake – 10 or 15.

6 batches (2019-2020 batch to 2024-2025 batch) have completed M.Sc. (Life Science) course under this department.

There are 2 classrooms equipped with Interactive Smartboards, supplemented by 5G wifi connections.

2 General Laboratory is allotted for PG students.

M.Sc. students utilized Advance Level Biotech Hub & Research Center

The college library hosts a section containing more than 200 books specific for Life Science PG students
