Pachhunga University College (PUC) organised inauguration programme of Village Adopted and Awareness campaign on Climate Change at Dulte community hall on 20th February 2018 (Wednesday). Dr.Tawnenga, Principal presided over the function and he shared the idea and implementation policy of PUC's village adoption. Chief Guest Mr. L.Thangmawia MLA, also delivered a speech. Dr. Lalramliana, Secretary Village Adopted Committee gave a report about the village adoption which have been doing by the college from the past 7 years. Dr. H Lalruatsanga gave an awareness campaign on climate change. In his speech he said to prevent the negative impact of climate change we have to preserve our enviroment with great care. Mr. H. S Khualliana, VCP Dulte and Mr. H.S Zapara, President YMA Dulte Branch also delivered speeches. The gathering was entertained by special numbers from Ms. Omomi Khiangte (VI Sem Department of Geology) and Ms. Lalrinhlui Tlumang (IV Sem Department of Mizo). The inauguration programme was concluded with vote of thanks from Dr. Zoramdinthara. The gathering was followed by community feast which was sponsored by Chief Guest Mr. L Thangmawia, MLA of Lengteng Constituency. PUC will adopt Dulte village for one year. Pachhunga University College village adoption policy is implemented from the voluntary contribution of principal, teachers and staff out of their salaries. The first PUC adopted village was Phulpui village and the second one was Lungleng village and Dulte village is the third one.
